Devi Productions

Connecting Communities across SE London through the Arts

Who is Devi Productions?

Devi Productions started as a sole proprietorship in 2012 in SE London, UK by myself, Devaki Thomas, to amalgamate my offerings as a festival director, educator and multi-disciplinary artist from Vancouver, Canada with a specialisation in music, Indian dance, arts marketing and community outreach. The main purpose and focus of DP is to strive for excellence in curating, producing, managing, promoting and presenting grassroots arts,  and to create connections for communities, artists and audiences to enrich all involved. Who Am I?

My name is Devaki Anne-Marie Thomas, I am located in SE London, UK, I moved here from Western Canada in 2008 with my husband and 4 sons. I have spent my life-time working in the arts as a festival/event producer/director/marketer, multi-disciplinary performing artist and educator while raising my family. As an artist I specialise in music performance and instruction (drums, percussion, vocals), classical Indian dance performance, instruction and choreography (Odissi & Bharatanatyam) and composing music to collaborate and perform with dancers. In  2017 I decided to focus my energy to qualify with a Masters in Dance Movement Psychotherapy, I am collating this with my experience as an artist to help people heal through movement and sound. I bring a passion for working with people, for sharing my own healing journey, for offering empathic involvement and sharing my skills and experience to enrich the lives of others. I have worked with clients ranging in age from 3 to 68 years and bring a strong sense of empathy for helping people understand and express themselves to enable more self-compassion and self-reliance. Welcome to my space, bless....
